Compact in size but not in power, the new Comacchio MC 9 allows performing most types of anchoring projects with both rotary and rotary-percussive drilling techniques.
Powered by a 100 kW new generation Deutz engine (EU Stage IV – US Tier 4 Final) the MC 9 is a middle-size anchoring rig that can be fitted with both rotary and rotary percussion drifters, according to specific soil conditions and project requirements. The machine is ideally suited for fast, single-step anchoring works using self-drilling hollow bar system. The advanced mast articulation design incorporates an “extended reach” double boom and two slewing rings, offering an extreme range of mast movements and inclinations that enables fast and precise on-hole setup even in tight spaces. The extendable crawler tracks (1800 – 2600 mm) offer maximized stability while drilling and moving the rig on the jobsite, allow access to confined areas and save space during transport. The standard features of the new MC 9 include the Comacchio radio control system for the complete control of all rig functions, designed to enhance site safety and driller productivity.
