Comacchio launches the new MC 2 at Solscope 2025.
Modifying, reinforcing, replacing or deepening foundations beneath an existing structure, often involves working in confined spaces. The new Comacchio MC 2 was designed to carry out underpinning work in the most challenging conditions. Featuring a small footprint and an extendable rubber-type undercarriage (700 mm retracted), it ensures excellent manoeuvrability and easy access to tight jobsites.
The rig offers full hydraulic mast movements and inclinations for optimal positioning and precision during drilling operations. Powered by a Yanmar 33 kW Stage V / Tier 4 Final diesel engine or an alternative 30 kW electric motor, the rig provides operational flexibility for different work environments and emission requirements.
Equipped with powerful rotary heads (up to 430 daNm) or a hydraulic drifter, it delivers high-performance drilling capabilities. The modular mast system starts from a base height of 2 meters, with feed stroke options of 1000 mm that can be increased with the installation of additional extensions.
The MC 2 marks a milestone in the integration of advanced electronics in small-diameter drilling rigs. A newly integrated electric system with a PLC control unit streamlines operations, while an updated control layout improves safety and ergonomics. This innovation enhances automation, diagnostic capabilities, system responsiveness, and connectivity, setting a new standard for control and user-friendliness in compact rigs.
