The MC 10 is the latest addition to the Comacchio line-up of drill rigs for vertical applications, a 10t class rig featuring an 8000 daN mast with simplified articulation. The machine can be supplied with alternative rotary heads for open hole rotary and rotary-percussive drilling methods. Thanks to the modular mast construction the rig can be operated both in low-headroom and in open-site conditions.The first unit was delivered in the “F-Line configuration”, designed for concrete injection operations (mini piles) using solid stem and continuous flight augers (CFA). This configuration comprises a high torque rotary head offering 3.000 daNm torque fitted with a 4” swivel. The mast was equipped with new a hydraulic casing clamp that was developed to allow the use of 660 mm casings or 600mm-diameter augers. With this further addition, the F-Line has been expanded with an intermediate unit that sits between the MC 6-F and MC 13-F, ideally suited to handle diameters ranging from 400 to 600 mm.
